The Clinical Supervisor provides clinical and operational leadership for community-based behavioral health services, ensuring high-quality care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and effective program operations. This role provides clinical supervision, oversees caseloads and service utilization, supports crisis response and complex case management, monitors documentation and billing compliance, and drives continuous quality improvement. The position also builds collaborative relationships with families, community partners, and referral sources while supporting strategic program growth and positive client outcomes.
Salary: $100,000 - $110,000 annually
Provide individual and group clinical supervision in accordance with Virginia Board of Counseling requirements.
Oversee clinician caseloads, program utilization, service authorizations, documentation, and billing compliance.
Ensure clinical services comply with Medicaid, DBHDS licensing, Human Rights, COA, insurance, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
Lead weekly clinical team meetings and coordinate treatment teams and wraparound services.
Review and approve clinical assessments, Individualized Service Plans (ISPs), quarterly reviews, and other required documentation.
Conduct regular chart audits and field observations to ensure documentation accuracy, service quality, and compliance.
Oversee timely intake, referral, and assignment processes to support rapid access to services.
Provide clinical guidance for complex cases, crisis intervention, de-escalation, safety planning, and evidence-based treatment interventions.
Participate in the administrative on-call rotation and provide after-hours clinical consultation and support to field staff.
Develop and facilitate in-service training to strengthen clinical competencies and staff performance.
Support strategic program development, service expansion, and initiatives designed to improve clinical outcomes and client satisfaction.
Evaluate program workflows, resources, and operational processes to identify opportunities for continuous quality improvement.
Monitor staff performance, service delivery, and operational efficiency to support program goals and agency objectives.
Promote positive relationships with clients, families, and community partners.
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Community Services Boards (CSBs), Family Assessment and Planning Teams (FAPT), schools, juvenile justice agencies, psychiatric hospitals, and other community stakeholders.
Support parent and family engagement while identifying community resources and services to meet client needs.
Ensure staff maintain compliance with professional licensing requirements, agency policies, and evidence-based behavioral health practices.
