Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Director of Community Based Services and the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (LBA), the Licensed Assistant Behavior Analyst (LABA) assists with all clinical aspects of the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program serving children and adolescents with significant behavioral and developmental disabilities.

This position supports program operations through client assessments, individualized and group sessions, staff training, and treatment plan implementation. The LABA plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality, ethical service delivery aligned with the mission and guiding principles of St. Joseph’s Villa.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and assist with behavioral assessments for Outpatient Behavioral Treatment Services.

  • Maintain an active caseload, providing direct behavioral and crisis support as needed, including non-traditional hours.

  • Deliver one-on-one and group behavioral support to clients.

  • Support and train staff and families in evidence-based behavioral strategies.

  • Collaborate with the LBA and treatment teams on training, data collection, documentation review, and clinical program development.

  • Develop and/or supervise individualized behavior/treatment plans and service goals.

  • Assist with the analysis of behavioral patterns and creation of individualized service plans.

  • Participate in and facilitate staff and community meetings that enhance program operations.

  • Support licensing, certification, and accreditation efforts by maintaining compliance and required documentation.

  • Ensure critical incidents and suspected abuse/neglect are reported per Villa policy.

  • Evaluate processes and make recommendations for continuous quality improvement.

  • Maintain professional development through required and elective trainings.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Licensed Assistant Behavior Analyst (LABA) in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

  • Minimum three (3) years of related experience working with children or adolescents with behavioral/developmental needs.

  • Minimum one (1) year of supervisory or leadership experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and electronic record systems.

  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

  • Familiarity with Medicaid regulations preferred.

  • Valid Virginia driver’s license and a clean driving record.
