JOB SUMMARY

 

The Behavior Analyst is pivotal within our collaborative treatment team, focusing on creating, designing, implementing, and overseeing an innovative ABA-based educational model. Our approach blends aspects of public-school settings with Verbal Behavior Therapy, maintaining rigorous clinical standards throughout. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, devising behavior plans, providing staff training as needed, and ensuring fidelity to evidence-based practices. We seek innovative team members with robust clinical expertise who are dedicated to fostering environments rooted in behavior analytic principles.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

 

  • Support Classroom Teams: Assist in addressing the needs of students with autism who exhibit significant skill deficits affecting their learning. Utilize direct observation, student interactions, record reviews, interviews, and written recommendations within a collaborative framework.
  • Behavioral Recommendations: Provide written recommendations based on identified behaviors and descriptive analyses. These may include general behavioral considerations, service recommendations, or development of Functional Analysis Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans as needed.
  • Staff Training: Deliver or recommend training for staff to enhance their skills in behavioral management and intervention techniques.
  • Supervision: Supervise 1:1 counselors or therapists responsible for implementing formal behavior plans.
  • Progress Review: Evaluate students' progress towards independence through participation in weekly treatment team meetings.
  • Team and IEP Meetings: Participate in team meetings and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings for assigned students. Facilitate treatment teams for students on caseload.
  • Health and Safety Monitoring: Monitor health and safety concerns for students on caseload and manage incident, injury, and accident reporting processes.
  • Consultation: Collaborate with clinical services (Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy) to ensure implementation aligns with ethical and clinical standards of the treatment model.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Establish positive working relationships with parents, teachers, instructional support staff, and administrators involved in educating students with disabilities.
  • Documentation: Prepare various professional documents as required for effective communication and record-keeping.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Master’s degree in applied behavioral sciences, psychology, early childhood education or related field.
  • Certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst
  • One (1) or more years’ experience working with students with ASD and related disorders.
  • Experience working in public school classrooms for students with mild to severe ASD is appreciated.
  • Experience in conducting and implementing Functional Assessments and Behavior Support Plans

Qualifications

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30AM-4PM

Salary: $80,000+ depending on experience
