Under the direction and guidance of the Principal, delivers treatment services to program clients and their families within the policies and procedures of St. Joseph’s Villa. Responsible for the coordination of an overall written program of services; coordination of program staff in relationship to Service Plans for clients and providing direct professional psychoeducational services to clients and their families.
Serves as a member of the program’s Management Team and assists in planning, organizing and directing program services within the policies and procedures of St. Joseph's Villa. Position focuses upon development of and participation in a team approach with other program staff to insure quality services to clients and their families. Performs all work safely, in accordance with the highest professional ethical standards, and in alignment with Saint Joseph’s Villa mission, values, and guiding principles.
Participates as an active member in a team approach to the delivery of services to clients.
Participates in staff meetings, community meetings, and other staff and program group activities that support the operation of an effective psychoeducational program.
Coordinates all phases of the psychoeducational program within the program(s) for which he/she
has primary responsibility.
Functions as a facilitator in the treatment teams for his/her service.
Participates in the development and implementation of service plans, objectives and methods necessary for providing effective services to individual clients and families.
Provides professional psychoeducational services to clients and their families individually and in groups on a regularly scheduled basis.
Participates in the development of progress/evaluation reports on clients.
Maintains accurate individual case records for clients under his/her supervision within state licensing and professional accreditation standards.
Promotes good community relations and utilizes needed community services.
Acts as liaison with community agency casework staff for process reporting and service planning.
Assists in client intake, admission and discharge planning.
Provides after-care services for discharged clients and their families to the extent possible.
Evaluates work processes and methods and submits recommendations for continuous quality improvement.
Attends scheduled training programs for professional development that includes, at a minimum, trainings required by St. Joseph’s Villa and by regulatory and accrediting bodies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
BA/BS, in Special Education or related field. Requires two years related experience with special education or children with developmental or behavioral disabilities. Proficient with Windows, Outlook, MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with proprietary software preferred.
